HOUSE RULES

Dear Children, Dear Families,

Welcome to the Fuchsthal Pediatric Primary Care Center 1090!

We are delighted that you are visiting our practice. We always strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible for you and your child. As physicians, it is particularly important to us to take enough time for your questions and concerns. “Care instead of rush” is the motto of our multicultural practice. Nevertheless, the time available in a public health insurance practice is limited due to occasionally high patient volumes. Even with good planning, unforeseen acute issues may arise during routine appointments. This can lead to delays in the daily schedule. We kindly ask for your understanding.

We do our best to separate sick and healthy children and therefore offer different waiting areas and treatment rooms on different floors.

Please make an appointment—whether for routine check-ups (e.g. mother-child passport examinations, neurological assessments, pre-operative clearance, ECG, ultrasound, lung function tests, vaccinations, discussion of results, etc.) or when your child is ill—via our website, by email, or by phone. Please also indicate the reason for your visit. You may also specify which doctor you would like to see.

If you cannot keep an appointment, we kindly ask you to cancel at least 24 hours in advance for routine appointments, or by the start of the office hours on the same day for acute appointments. Otherwise, we must charge a no-show fee of €20–100 (depending on the appointment type), as the time slot cannot be given to another child.

Our practice is fully accessible. A lift and accessible restrooms are available if needed. Please leave strollers in the entrance area and secure them with a bicycle lock to the metal bar.

If your child has a rash, please ring the doorbell to the right of the main entrance before entering the practice. A dedicated infection room has been set up there, where you can wait separately to keep infection risk as low as possible.

For hygiene reasons, we ask you to remove your shoes on the 1st and 2nd floors, as small children crawl and play on the floor. Spare slippers are available.

For the safety of younger children, safety gates are installed at the top of the stairs. Please keep them closed.

If you are visiting us with your newborn baby for the first time, please bring a provisional confirmation from your health insurance. If you have not yet received the e-card or have forgotten it, we kindly ask you to leave a deposit of €120. You will, of course, receive this amount back in full once the e-card is provided. You can comfortably reach the 1st floor with the lift. There, we have set up a separate, protected “baby area” with a cozy sofa and nursing chair to ensure a relaxed waiting experience. Please bring a diaper or cloth diaper and a small plastic bag for used diapers.

Please bring the e-card to every visit. It is also helpful if you can bring the mother-child passport, vaccination record, and any important prior medical documents (such as X-rays, lab results, or hospital discharge papers).

To keep administrative work to a minimum, we kindly ask that vaccinations and certificates be paid in cash or by debit card.

We look forward to your visit!
