We are growing – from small to large PVE

Since April 2026, we have officially been a large primary care unit (PCU).

What does this mean for you? An expanded team, broader medical care, and—as a direct result—longer opening hours.

From now on, we are open continuously from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays, instead of only in the morning as before. We are pleased to be able to offer you and your children even more flexibility.

New doctor joins the pediatric team in Fuchsthal

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Zsofia Obrovsky-Nagy as our new specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. With her training at St. Anna Children's Hospital in Vienna and many years of experience in pediatrics, she brings not only sound expertise but also a warm and child-friendly approach. We are confident that our young patients and their families are in the best possible hands with her.

Why reading aloud is so important for children

Reading aloud and reading together are among the most important building blocks for healthy development. Even just a few minutes a day promote language, concentration, imagination, and thinking – essential foundations for later academic success.

Reading together also strengthens emotional development and the bond between parents and children. Stories help children better understand feelings and convey closeness and security.

Pediatric associations recommend integrating books into daily life from an early age and consciously limiting screen time. Even just 10–15 minutes of reading aloud each day can make a big difference.

New in our services: Psychotherapy for babies and toddlers

Dr. Waltraud Schönhart, a psychotherapist, is now offering psychotherapy for infants, toddlers, and their parents at the Fuchsthal Children's Medical Center.

She supports families with issues related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the first years of life—for example, when babies cry a lot, have difficulty settling down, or when uncertainties arise in daily family life.

Fully funded psychotherapy slots are available at our practice. We are delighted to be able to expand this important service for families.
